What is the minimum age of guests to stay at Club Raro Resort?Club Raro is exclusively for adults aged 18 years and over. For family's travelling with children under 18 years, our sister property The Edgewater Resort & Spa is the perfect family resort for your next holiday.

Does Club Raro Resort provide an airport shuttle service?Yes, there is an airport shuttle that runs at scheduled times. A fee of NZD 60 per adult return applies. You also receive a bottle of water and a neck ei (flower garland). Please note that the shuttle service is operated by Cook Islands Tours, not the resort.

What time is check-in?Check-in is from 2:00pm. A charge applies for an early check-in (amount may vary, subject to availability).

What time is check-out?Check-out is at 10:00am. Late check-out is available at a charge (amount may vary, subject to availability).

Is there a fee when making payment with a credit card?Payments made on site at the resort by Credit Card or international Debit Cards will incur a payment administration fee of 3.5%. All major credit cards are accepted in the Cook Islands except American Express & Diners Card.

Am I able to request a specific room number?Although we are unable to confirm your room number until a few days prior to your arrival, we will note your request and try our utmost to fulfil this.

What is included in the continental buffet breakfast?No matter how you book, a continental breakfast is always included. On the buffet, you have an assortment of fruit, cereals, toast and spreads, yoghurt, muesli, pastries, juices, tea, and coffee.

Does the public bus stop at the resort?Yes, the public bus stops at the resort and operates both clockwise & anti-clockwise. The clockwise bus departs at 5 minutes past the hour and the anti-clockwise bus departs at 16 minutes past the hour. But keep in mind, you're on island time! Please note that buses do not operate on a Sunday.

Is there car park available?Yes, free off-street parking is available at the entrance of the resort, but is very limited - first in, first serve.

Can we hire vehicles from the resort?No, but please email Polynesian Rentals on reservations@polynesianhire.co.ck, who can assist you with hiring cars, scooters and bicycles.

Is snorkeling gear available?Yes, snorkeling gear and reef shoes are available daily at reception from 8am. Our guests often snorkel in the lagoon of the resort or at other great snorkeling spots around the island, such as Fruits of Rarotonga. We ask that all snorkeling gear and reef shoes are returned at the end of each day before 5pm.

What restaurants are nearby?Other than our very own Jalapeños restaurant, the nearest restaurants are closer to the township, Avarua. Tamarind House Restaurant is a minutes drive from the resort. Trader Jacks is located at Avarua harbour, approximately 3 minutes from Club Raro.

Is smoking permitted in my room?Cook Islands Law prevents us from allowing smoking in any of our rooms. This includes the use of smokeless tobacco vapour, and e-cigarettes. Smoking is also prohibited in our restaurants and at all public dining areas. We have made available ash trays in designated areas around the Resort. Please be considerate of your immediate neighbours when choosing to smoke on your balcony as not everybody appreciates the smell of tobacco smoke.

Is Rarotonga over the International Date Line?Yes, it is. The Cook Islands is just to the east of the International Date Line and is ten hours behind Greenwich Mean Time. This puts them in the same day as the U.S. and a day behind New Zealand and Australia.
